According to Tellychakkar, Rupali Ganguly’s successful TV drama Anupamaa would be getting a web series prequel. Hotstar apparently is all-in on releasing the series on its OTT platform. In terms of what we can expect to see in this prequel, it has been revealed that the filmmakers will depict the narrative of Anupamaa and Vanraj after they have completed ten years of marriage. It is also reported that the series would have 11 episodes and will feature characters such as Anupamaa, Vanraj, Baa, Bapuji, Toshu, Samar, and Dolly.
This Anupamaa prequel will also depict how the Shah family treated Anupama before the television serial began. Right now, the serial has a very large fan base, and they are eagerly waiting for one thing: Anupamaa’s marriage to Anuj aka Gaurav Khanna. The latter is proven to be a strong supporter and motivator for Anu’s life, and she has also started loving him.
The show underwent a major twist when the main character Anupamaa, decides to start life on her own terms after feeling unappreciated for the sacrifices she has made for her family. The first episode aired on March 16, 2020, and the show has offered 530 episodes in two years.
