Dolly Ki Doli Movie Trailer Review

Dolly Ki Doli wallpapers

Lately, the Sonam Kapoor starrer movie Dolly Ki Doli witnessed its trailer over the social media. After getting a moderate response for the same, it becomes mandatory for us to review it. Of late, there have been a couple of con movies churning out over the Bollywood, however, not a single of these movies were able to create the right kind of impression or buzz among the audience or critics. Dolly Ki Doli is nothing but an addition to this list, which is certainly not an exception. Sonam Kapoor in this movie is seen in a role of a con bride, who seen marrying a number of guys and later seen is duping them. In her target list, she has three bachelors whom she finds the right guys to con. These include Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Rajkumar Rao.

As the trailer stars, you can see Rajkumar waking up over his suhaag raat bed simply by calling the name of his wife and soon he realises that Dolly who happens to his wife has escaped with all his money. Pulkit Samrat on the other side is a cop who comes as a ray of hope for these grooms by launching a campaign to nab the culprit bride. You can find a couple of funny bits with Varun Sharma as well who is none other than the Chooocha from the popular movie Fukrey, he will definitely going to help you giving strokes of laugh. As you find the makers trying to add a couple of quirky quotient via several dialogues, ironically, the dialogue coming from Sonam really falls flat over the ground and thus fails to give you the right impression.

The problem with this bride con movie is that unlike the other movies of this category, it has simply focussed over the superficiality and multiple looks instead of building the characters and a good plot. Earlier, Ranveer Singh too was seen pulling off the con role in movies like Ladies Vs. Ricky Bahl wherein he is seen with the cons girls, however, the film simply failed to perform better. Also, just two months before, you saw Parineeti Chopra too doing the same minor con role in her last movie called Daawat-E-Ishq, however, it was seen as a big backdrop of dowry. Perhaps the entire con concept was well captured by the Bluffmaster director Rohan Sippy since then no one really was able to come closer to it.

Wrapping up

Talking about Dolly Ki Doli, it is not an exception and has fallen prey of the same ailment, which other movies of this category have encountered. The movie doesn’t really stop with an impressive note and it is indeed very much tiresome to see Sonam doing the same once again, which she had been doing earlier. The only con in this movie tried to pull off is that of selling the audience with some old and obsolete kind of story, however, this time they seem to have fall flat on the ground.
