The highly anticipated action film starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor has been pushed back yet again. Previously, the producers stated that the film would be released in September of this year, but Fighter now has a new release date. Hrithik Roshan took to Instagram on Friday to share a new poster for the film, writing, “25th January 2024- see you at the theatres!”
The new poster of the film has piqued the interest of fans even more, as it depicts aircraft firing explosives. The film, which will be directed by Sidharth Anand, was announced last year on Hrithik’s birthday. The producers are going all out to create a massive spectacle that will enthral audiences with a never-before-seen big-screen experience. The film, which pays tribute to India’s armed forces, arrives just in time for the Republic Day weekend.
In addition to Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor will play an important role in Fighter. On the occasion of Anil’s 65th birthday, The Krrish actor welcomed him aboard Fighter in December of last year. He wrote, “Happiest Birthday to the man who grows younger each year in spirit and health, @anilskapoor! Best wishes to you Sir. From witnessing your legendary presence on sets as a mere assistant, to finally having the opportunity of sharing the screen with you.. Super excited for #Fighter.”
Anil Kapoor also shared the photo and wrote, “Get ready to witness India’s first aerial action franchise.”
Following the huge success of Bang Bang and War, Hrithik Roshan is reuniting with director Siddharth Anand for Fighter.
Ajit Andhare, COO of Viacom18 Studios, previously stated about the project, “An aerial action film offers a unique Cinematic experience. Its never been done in India. Being a Top Gun fan, I have been looking for a script for years that explores aerial action and has a story rooted in India. Fighter is that answer. Siddharth understands this genre and brings a unique flair to his films. I am excited to collaborate with him in building this franchise.”
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan was most recently seen in the film Vikram Vedha, co-starring with Saif Ali Khan. Krrish 4 is one of his upcoming films.
