After witnessing a minor jump in collection on Saturday and Sunday, one hoped that Ajay Devgn starrer Bholaa will maintain the same growth on weekdays too but the action thriller’s collections remained below average on weekdays and the film only managed to earn Rs. 3 crores on the eighth day, according to the trade website Sacnilk.com, taking its first week collection to Rs. 59.68 crores.

Bholaa opened in theatres on 30 March with Rs 11.20 crore and saw a minor growth in the collection on the third and fourth days with Rs. 12.20 crores (Saturday) and Rs. 13.60 crores (Sunday)

Bholaa’s cost of production, according to a trade source, is around Rs. 100 crores, and based on its first week box office performance, it appears that it may be able to recoup its expenses, but a significant profit is highly improbable.

One hoped that Bholaa would follow the same road as Devgn’s previous movie, Drishyam 2, which was a tremendous box office triumph and made Rs. 230 crores in India. However, Bholaa is failing to get close to that.

The only consolation for the Bholaa movie’s producers is that, until Salman Khan’s upcoming release of “Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan,” on 21 April, the action-thriller won’t face any significant competition.

Bholaa is an official adaptation of the Tamil action movie Kaithi (2019), starring Karthi, and was directed and co-produced by Ajay Devgn. Additionally, Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, and Gajraj Rao play crucial parts in Bholaa. Ajay Devgn plays the title character in the movie, Bholaa, who recently served ten years in prison. Finally, Bholaa will see his baby daughter, whose face he has not yet seen. However, SP Diana Joseph (Tabu) unexpectedly asks him to deliver a truck load of poisoned police officers to the hospital in return for something.
