2.0 is all set to Defeat Baahubali 2, let’s check how?

2.0 Trailer

This Friday, the most anticipated movie -2.0 is all set to hit the screens. The film remains the most awaited movies for the presence of Rajnikanth as he remains the idol for millions of fans who are not just confined to Southen part of India but also all across the world. Interestingly, we have Akshay Kumar in it who is playing the negative role in this film. The film is yet to release, but it appears to be a winner when compared to another big blockbuster film – Bahubali released this year. The reasons are obvious, it is a Rajnikanth film which is not less than a God for his fans, and it becomes a festive time when his movie is released.

The offices get locked, the companies announce holidays, colleges and schools call for a day off and so on. Well, the buzz claim that the film is releasing in around 6800 screens in India alone, which is a whopping figure for any film release. The film is also significant concerning budget as it is made with a massive budget of 75 million USD (500 INR), which is undoubtedly an unheard budget for any film in India. It has created a huge hype ever since the days of release is close. The makers have already sold off their distribution rights an all-time high cost, the makers now eyeing to gain big with a huge screen count.

The screen count is expected to range up to 6800 which include the 17 IMAX screens beating Baahubali that was released in 6500 screens. The distribution of screens goes like this North Belt will have 4000 screens, AP & Telangana will have 1200 screens, TN will have 600 screens, Kerala will have 500 screens, Karnataka would have 300 screens and so on. So the rough estimate of screens is 6800, which will air 33000 shows all across India beating the 31000 shows of Baahubali. The trade pundits are expecting to witness a 100 crore collection on day one (including both the south Indian and Hindi). However, in terms of opening day collection it may not beat Baahubali which has scored a whopping 122 crore gross on the day one across India, but in the longer run, it would be a winner.
