Yoodlee Films Expanding Their Footprints onto the OTT Web Space
After giving a glamorously successful show with its movie “Music Teacher” released on Netflix, under the production banner Yoodlee Films, the production house is set to expand its footprint into the OTT web space.
The production hub is planning to offer a bouquet of stories suitable for the web series format for various Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms. In fact, they are working along the same with a specially assigned team undertaking the complete responsibility of creating unique and interesting stories, showed a statement from the banner.
Siddharth Anand Kumar, Vice President, Films and TV and Producer at Yoodlee Films, mentioned about his plans to the IANS media platform saying, “While we will continue to make films. We think that the time is right to venture into telling stories through web series. Web series give us the opportunity to tell an interesting narrative which is not bound by the required length of a feature film.”
He further added to his point of view stating, “It gives writers the agency to create characters that have an unhurried character arc over episodes, thereby making them real and believable. We want to tell stories that display a sense of quirk, subjects that are off the beaten track and give you various perspectives on our ever evolving society.”
Kumar mentioned that the freedom offered by the web series format allows on the OTT streaming services is “enticing enough for our writers”. Six of Yoodlee production house’s recent films have already found their place on Netflix. Apart from “Music Teacher”, another film, “Brij Mohan Amar Rahe” was released as a Netflix Original, recently.
