Padmaavat Row: Chittorgarh Karni Sena is arrested by the Police
If you check the latest buzz on the Padmavat row, the police have arrested the Chittorgarh unit chief of the infamous Shri Rajput Karni Sena once he said that around 1,900 women from Rajput community are all set to commit “Jauhar” (mass immolation) for the protests over the Sanjay Leela Bhansali movei release. As per the reports, the police was seen swooping down over the residences of the fringe group. Even the Vice Predicent of the group was also arrested by the police yesterday. The others who were arrested also include the key member of the group as they have been agitating against the film since long.
Talking to the media, the state media called Rajpratap Singh, who is the in-charge Karni Sena caliming that the Police are trying their best to curb down the protest. They alleged that the police is not allowing them to take out the rally or carry out the stage protest. There is ‘nakabandi’ all around and strict police arrangements have been made in this town claimed the Karni Sena leader. They said they have called a meeting to decide the next step to be taken against the film release. We see the debates between the Sena members and the filmmakers and other groups in the media.
The spokesperson of Karni Sena from Chittorgarh said that people in the city are disheartened to see the release of the movie which was followed by the verdict of the Supreme Court. The spokesperson further said that since they do not want to go for any violent methods and distrube the people and tourists, they now would take resort in the idea of Jauhar. He said that around 1900 women have decided to go for the Jauhar (mass immolation) without disturbing anyone. He also said that they have collected the wood and has even decided to location for the same wherein 1908 women would be carrying out the Jauhar.
