The latest offering of Rani Mukerji called Hichki seems to be doing good at the box office. The film made under the banner of Yash Raj Films Production has finally hit the screens last Friday and as expected the film had a low start with the collection on the first day went up to 3.30 crore at the box office. However, in the very next day the collection soared to a remarkable growth of reaching to around 62 percent. Similar trend was seen in the Sunday collection, which ended up giving a decent collection at the box office. So, with all said and done, the makers were able to do a decent business with their film.
In fact, the film Hichki has bagged decent reviews from most of the critics, however, it was the good word of mouth promotion, which seemed to have worked in favour of this movie. The Film experts and trade analysts though had some modest figure for the weekend collection, yet it managed to score more than the given collection making Sunday looks high. So, as per reports, the first weekend box office collection for Hichki reached to around 17.25 crore. Also, Monday being holiday, one can expect a decent collection for this extended day weekend for the movie.
There are reports that the makers of the film have already recovered the invested money for the film with the help of several non-theatrical platforms making Hickhi an outright winner. With its unique content the film has managed to garner a good word of mouth buzz in the media. Despite the competition from the other films like Raid and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, the film ended up doing a decent business.
