Avanthika played the unconventional role of a Yakshi in the movie Yakshi – Faithfully yours. After a successful small stint on Malayalam big screen, Avanthika has switched to Malayalam television. The gorgeous blue eyed actress has bagged few potential roles on the small screen in both Malayalam and Telugu.
Avanthika is presently portraying the lead role in the serial Atmasakhi. The serial being aired on Mazhavil Manorama is catching up greatly with the audience. Besides this, the actress is also playing a crucial role in the Telugu mega serial Raja Rani. In her own words, the actress is enjoying the two distinct female lead characters catering to the interest of two different regions. In Atmasakhi, Avanthika plays the role of a doctor. Whereas in Raja Rani, she is a village school teacher.
Avanthika Mohan Education and Family:
Avanthika is a native of Calicut, Kerala. As both her parents were settled in the UAE, Avanthika spent most of her childhood there. She studied in a reputed school after which she pursued her graduation in commerce. At present, the actress shuttles between Thiruvanthapuram and Hyderabad for Atmasakhi and Raja Rani serial.
Avanthika has proved her talent on various platforms till now. She was a model and a dancer. Both the fields brought her success and appreciation. As a model she has appeared in many TV advertisements and print ads.
In 2011, Avanthika won the Miss Malabar title and also the Miss Perfect title. Avanthika is a trained classical and western dancer.
Avanthika Mohan in Movies:
Avanthika Mohan played the mesmerizing Yakshi in the film Yakshi- Faithfully Yours. That marked her debut in malayalm films.
She also played the lead in the film Crocodile Love Story in 2012. Mr. Bean and Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi came the following year.
Avanthika made her Tamil Debut with the film Aalamaram.
She has also appeared in Telugu and Kannada films also.

In a recent interview, Avanthika stated that she switched to television as she was getting roles with high potential. The small screen gives opportunity to create a bond with the audience that the silver screen does not offer.
