MSG 2- The Messenger Movie Review

MSG 2 movie review

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh is back with his action drama sequel – MSG 2- The Messenger. The film is directed by the spiritual director along with Jeetu Arora, who had embarked with his prequel a couple of months before. The film revolves around the transformation of a tribal community, who fall under socially ill practises keeping itself away from the mainstream social life and world. The film has Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the lead role along with Daniel Kaleb along with Floora Saini, which is produced by his own production house called Hakikat Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. While the runtime of the film is two hours and thirteen minutes and specifically speaking it is 133 minutes. Now, let’s take a dip into the film to find out the crux.

Plot

The film is an unbridled messianic tale, which has the driving force called the Dera Saccha Sauda Chief – Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh who is seen as a bundle of energy and for him nothing is really impossible. This incredibly turgid movie is nothing but a platform for the spiritual leader, which is directed and produced by the same man. Besides, he is also the singer, lyrist and composer of the film. The film basically shows this man in a reformer mode who is also indulged in action to make the society free from the criminal elements who are more known to ruin the people and their social structure. It also liberates the people whom he is seen addressing in the film from negativity and orthodoxies that separate from the mainstream social life.

Performance

Well there is hardly anyone except the one man army of the film called the Gurmeet Ram Rahim in the film. He is seen portraying himself into a larger than life action and high voltage sequences with multiple hats on his head. He is the man who is seen in action be it kicking off the asses of the anti social elements in the film or carrying out a playback singing venture. Right from the lyrist’s job to acting and music, everywhere this man has his own show, which may appear far from professionalism and dexterity making the film just an obligation to catch for his followers. Taking about the other elements, nothing much to comment about the godly movie, which has embarked once again to portray his message and doctrine this man preaches using the medium of cinema.

MSG 2 – The Messenger Last Word

Talking about the Music, editing, screenplay, and locations, again there is a dominance of this man, which portrays nothing but him in different roles. So, what more to expect in terms of professionalism or mainstream cinema, in other words, it is nothing but a spiritual attempt of this man to introduce his teachings to the unknown people and make his identity strong among his followers. He is seen attributing his strength, athleticism and the meditative practices he has from his energy. The followers will certainly find the songs to be soothing and soulful, which can lift the soundtrack. Though it may sound peppy otherwise, it seems very much melodious. Unless, you are his follower, MSG 2- The Messenger can be an avoidable film.
