Before releasing the sequel called Rock On 2, the film really had a good buzz in the media, however, when the film hit the theaters, it failed to get the kind of response it was expecting from the audience at the box office. Well, the film really went dull over the box office all thanks to the chaos created by the note demonization that made things bad to worse.
As per reports, the first week box office collection for Rock On 2 tolled to around 11 crores, which is actually really low for a film that enjoyed a very good buzz post promo release and other songs as well. In fact, with a dull week the film is likely to get a boost in the second weekend as well, thanks to the releases like Force 2 and Tum Bin 2, which really would make things bad for the last week released sequel.
Farhan has failed to do any wonders over the box office with this film and even the magic of Shraddha Kapoor seems to make any difference for the movie. The fact of the matter the film was too urban to attract the single screens, while the multiplex crowd were busy getting marred with the advent of the so called war against black money, which kept many of the people moneyless.
