Janhvi Kapoor Set To Debut in Zoya Akhtar’s Web Series Ghost Stories

Janhvi Kapoor, the popular actor hailing her acting background from her mother Sridevi is making quite a remarkable entry into the Bollywood. After Dhadak, she has been working on a number of other popular projects that will soon be hitting the silver screens. The actress will also be seen starring opposite Rajkumar Rao in the upcoming film, ‘Rooh-Afza’.

Soon after the successful debut in Bollywood, the Dhadak actress will be taking a turn into the OTT world.

The Fresh Face of Bollywood Janhvi Kapoor will soon be making her digital debut with Zoya Akhtar’s short film “Ghost Stories” on Netflix.

The actor took on to her social media account to break this wonderful news to her fans and followers.

Posting a video on Instagram, she said, “I have a really exciting announcement to make. I have got the opportunity to work with my favourite filmmaker ever, someone I look up to as a woman, as an artist, just as… everything, a human being and she is none other than Ms Zoya Akhtar.”

Talking about her upcoming project starring opposite Rajkumar Rao in ‘Rooh-Afza’, she said mentioning the work with the ace director, “I am going to be part of the short film that she is directing for Netflix’s ghost stories. So, not only I am being directed by my favourite, but I am also going to be on Netflix, so you all can watch me all day, every day.”

The one film old young actor also thanked and expressed her deep regards along with her overwhelming excitement for becoming the part of a film that has “interesting content.”

She further continued to conclusion, “No, but more than that it is such an exciting opportunity for me and I do really hope and believe that we are creating something special because it is such interesting content. And I am so happy and thankful to be part of it. And I so wanted to tell you all for myself. So, thank you and pray for me… Happy Sunday, bye!”

Apart from this, she will be playing the lead role opposite Karthik Aaryan in the second instalment of the 2008 comedy-drama ‘Dostana 2’. In the meanwhile, Janhvi is also working on a biopic based on Gunjan Saxena, India’s first-ever woman IAF officer and Karan Johar’s multi-starrer ‘Takht’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Bednekar and Anil Kapoor.

Apart from Zoya Akhtar, ‘Ghost Stories’ is also learnt to be directed by Karan Johar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Anurag Kashyap. The stories will be connected to each other and are hinted to conclude at the end.
