Sara Ali Khan goes all traditional for her debut at Cannes 2023

Sara Ali Khan made her Cannes International Film Festival 2023 debut on Tuesday. She was dressed in an ivory lehenga, a matching top, and a trailing dupatta. She graced the red carpet for Johnny Depp’s historical drama Jeanne Du Barry, which was met with a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival.

Sara, known for her clever Instagram quips, posted the photographs hours after walking the red carpet for the festival’s opening film, Jeanne Du Barry, starring Johnny Depp. “You Cannes do it,” wrote Sara in her captions.

Sara Ali Khan’s traditional pick for her debut at Cannes 2023 immediately impressed the netizens. One user praised the actress and wrote, “My girl is shining! More power to you, love. Love the outfit, you, anything and everything in the picture. ❤️”

Another user wrote, “Loving it ma’am?….at least you dare to showcase Indian culture at international level…being different requires courage’

Along with Sara Ali Khan, Manushi Chillar, Esha Gupta, and Urvashi Rautela graced the Cannes red carpet. Esha appeared on the red carpet in a lovely white gown with a thigh-high slit. Urvashi looked stunning in a pink gown with numerous layers of floral ruffles and an eye-catching choker. Manushi donned a white tulle gown with a plunging neckline and a translucent net see-through corset.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Sara Ali Khan will be next seen in romantic-comedy ‘Zara Hatke Zara Bachke’ where she will first time seen sharing screen with Vicky Kaushal. In the film they both will be seen playing a married couple from a lower middle class family, who are on the verge of divorce. Helmed by Laxman Utekar, the film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 2 June 2023.
