EXCLUSIVE: Sidharth Malhotra’s Shershaah to Ranveer Singh’s 83, check out some of the best Bollywood films of 2021

After facing a huge crisis due to the covid-19 pandemic the Bollywood has finally got a breeze of fresh air in 2021 as the film business has finally boosted up. From the usual masala movies to a dash of romance, horror, comedy and action films 2021 had all of it.

Here we bring you a compiled list of best films of 2021 so as the year is ending you should not miss out on any of these gems.

Sardar Udham

Sardar Udham
Sardar Udham was the one film this year that was both masterfully crafted and delivered a much-needed social message. Vicky Kaushal portrays the title character in the film, which is based on the life of Indian freedom hero Sardar Udham Singh. The film, directed by Shoojit Sircar, depicts various aspects of the freedom fighter’s life. The importance of revolt and rebellion is at the heart of the story, which is wrapped in a sense of ‘normalcy’ that makes it relatable to everyone. Unlike any other standard Bollywood storey about a revolutionary, Sardar Udham takes time to dwell on the protagonist’s less-than-heroic moments.

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui

Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui

The film, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, has the potential to be a defining moment in Hindi cinema. A transgender character as the lead in a major film with a setting that shouts masculinity is a first. Bogth Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor, have done an excellent job in their roles, and they should be commended for their bold decision to take on the film. To cite a few flaws, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui’s ending is too convenient and unrealistic.

Chhorii

Chorii

It is a remake of the Marathi blockbuster Lapachhapi, has a genuine motive at its core. With his film, director Vishal Furia intends to address the social evil of female foeticide. However, instead of conveying the horror of societal evil, the picture becomes mired in the build-up and the ghostly terror itself.

Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi

Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi
After the patriarch of the family, Ramprasad, dies, his whole family gathers under one roof over the following thirteen days to observe his final rituals. During this period, each character embarks on their own adventure, while arguing and bonding over family politics and shared experiences. The film, directed by Seema Pahwa and based on her own play, Pind Daan, is a pleasure with an outstanding cast.

Shershaah

Shershaah
Shershaah, perhaps the most popular film of 2021, stars Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani in lead roles. The film tells the narrative of Captain Vikram Batra, a brave Indian soldier who died during the Kargil conflict.

83
83
Last but not the least, 83 is one of the most amazing films released in 2021. The film stars Ranveer as Kapil Dev, alongside Deepika Padukone, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem amongst others. Kabir Khan made a very well crafted film that made a perfect end to the year 2021.
