Cuttputlli. Akshay Kumar’s crime thriller is gonna stream on OTT tomorrow. His every previous release, first Bachchan Pandey, then Samrat Prithviraj, and then Raksha Bandhan, all failed miserably at the box office. This is a testing time for the actor as he is gearing up for his next movie, Cuttputlli. We all know that Akshay does many movies in one year, and if all of them flop one by one, it might badly affect his acting career.
His latest release will be a direct digital debut on Disney+Hotstar. The movie is adapted from the superhit thriller, Ratsasan, and its trailer has received positive feedback so far. Featuring Akshay, Rakul Preet Singh, and Sargun Mehta, the plot of this thriller is set in Kasauli, Uttarakhand.
One of the well-known astrologers, Pandit Jagannath Guruji, who is popular for his Bollywood predictions, talked about the actor. He said, “I advised Akshay Kumar at the beginning of this and told him to slow down. One should relax and avoid doing too much in such a phase. Cuttputlli will be an average success. Ram Setu will also perform averagely at the box office. Shani and Rahu are affecting him. His Rahu is now moving in the reverse direction, and therefore his script choices are getting affected. But he will taste success again by the end of 2023. Despite the poor performance of his movies, Akshay will keep earning money as his planetary charts are very strong in all other terms.”
Akshay’s last film Raksha Bandhan grossed only rupees 30 crore+ in Cinemas. This Aanand L. Rai film received harsh criticism from critics for its antiquated plot and patronizing portrayal of women.
In this film, he embodied the character of a chat shop owner in Delhi. Talking about Cuttputli, it’s the source of an idea, Ratsasan was made by Vishnu Vishal and became one of the finest thrillers in the Indian film industry.
