Yogi Babu is an actor from South Indian films. He has appeared mostly in Tamil language films. He hails from Valapandal, Arani, Tamil Nadu, India where he was born and brought up at. He is an actor and comedian as well. He did his schooling from JJ Higher Secondary School in Sriperumbudur. He was born on 22nd July 1985 in the said village. He wanted to be in Army following the footsteps of his father; however, a known director from South Siddharth Sabha spotted the boy cracking jokes hence offered him for his next comedy TV show called Lollu Sabha. Initially, he worked as a junior artist, but as time passed, he also worked as assistant director and also got trained in writing scenes while working for the TV Show.
Finally, in 2009 we were able to see the debut in the film as Yogi wherein he played the role of an aspiring actor. He then did a couple of movies including Sirithal Rasipen, Thillalangadi, Velayudham, Thoonga Nagaram, Rajapattai, Kalakalappu, Attakathi, Pattathu Yaanai, Soodhu Kavvum, Chennai Express, Veeram, Maan Karate, Yennamo Yedho, Jai Hind 2, and Yaamirukka Bayamey. Some of his movies of recent times include Oru Kuppai Kathai, Semma Botha Aagatha, Mohini, Junga, Kolamavu Kokila, Echcharikkai, Pariyerum Perumal, Sarkar, Kaatrin Mozhi, and Maanik to name a few. He many more films to appear in the coming year. Besides, he has also acted in TV shows, which include My Name Is Mangamma and Lollu Sabha.
