A big development there by the makers of Coolie No. 1 as we now see comedy actor Rajpal Yadav has been roped in for the said remake with Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan. The film is directed by David Dhawan and it is likely to hit the floor very soon. The film happens to be the remake of the 1994 Coolie No.1 with Govinda and Karishma Kapoor in the lead role. The role of Kader Khan was given to Paresh Rawal who would play the father of Sara Ali Khan who would reprise Karishma’s role in the film.
Rajpal Yadav is having a tough time as he was behind the bar for not repaying the bank loan taken for his home in Mumbai. Of late, he was not seen in any film with all these issues. So, when he was offered the role, he thanked the director from the bottom of his heart. He said he has worked with David Dhawan earlier for his two films – Main Tera Hero and Judwa 2. He said he has worked with Varun Dhawan in these films but still feels good and excited to work again with him in the upcoming movie Coolie No.1.
He further said that it was the film Jungle by Ram Gopal Varma that gave him the debut in B Town, while with Hungama by Priyadarshan, he got recognition as a comedy actor. He then said he is grateful to the director for offering him the film. Though the role is not disclosed by the makers, but looking at the character, the actor plays, he is likely to be given the role of Shakti Kapoor in it. The film is all set to hit the floor very soon as Sara Ali Khan has finished her shoot for her third movie Love Aaj Kal 2 with Kartik Aaryan, while Varun seems tied up with the dance thrill movie with Shraddha Kapoor.
