Web Series ‘Kriti' removed from YouTube

The web series called Kriti by Shirish Kunder has been making news for many reasons ever since it hit the web space. First the maker was getting loads of applauds for his efforts giving some power packed performances with actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Neha Sharma and Radhika Apte in the said movie. But apart from getting the critical acclaim, the movie did was seen attracting the controvery as well when Shirish Kunder was hurled with an allegation of plagiarism by Kriti who claimed the story of his brainchild and Shirish has stolen the same.

As we check the latest buzz about the fiasco, the authorities of YouTube has taken off the film Kriti and thus one cannot find the same online. On the other hand we found Shirish coming on the microblogging site and saying 2.5 million views have been seen for the video and further said that the people seeking truth would find the facts while others would remain in the denial mode.

Aneel Neupane who is a filmmaker from Nepal has claimed that Kunder has stolen the plot of his upcoming psychological thriller called Bob. He wrote in his post that what made him angry was not the stolen idea by Shirish but he made it into his own film. Now, he claims that he is not even having money for the lunch of him, which Shrish has made while stealing his idea. Aneel said, he has made the video in 2015 and uploaded at Vimeo and later uploaded in May 2016.

However, Shrish said that he made the video in February 2016 and has announced the same before the media, which ultimately rubbishes the claims by Aneel. Even Shirsh’s wife Farah Khan claimed that she never heard about Aneel’s video and that her husband has been working on the film since past three years. Shrish is now planning to take a legal recourse as he has been getting good response on YouTube.
