The final journey of Dilip Kumar from his residence to Kabristan; Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan pay their tribute!

Legendary actor Dilip Kumar death has left the entire Indian film fraternity shocked and mourning. The veteran actor was laid to rest with full state honours at Juhu Qabrastan around 4:30 pm on July 7.

The 98-year-old actor breathed his last at 7:30 am on Wednesday. Mumbai police formed a human chain outside the hospital so that his mortal remains could be taken to his Bandra residence as the Fans of the actor had gathered outside the hospital where he took his last breath.

Adhering to state funeral protocols, Dilip Kumar’s mortal remains were wrapped in Indian tricolor. After which he was taken to the Juhu Qabrastan in Santacruz, Mumbai. His wife Saira Banu was also part of the funeral with several closed ones.

Actor Amitabh Bachchan along with his son Abhishek Bachchan attended the last rites of the veteran actor at the Juhu Qabrastan. Meanwhile several Bollywood celebrities arrived at Dilip Kumar’s residence to pay their last respects. Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan, Karan Johar and Dharmendra among others were snapped at Dilip Kumar’s Bandra home.

Fans and other celebrities have flooded Social media with mourning the demise of Dilip Kumar. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid a tribute to the thespian and by writing it on his Twitter handle, “Dilip Kumar Ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend. He was blessed with unparalleled brilliance, due to which audiences across generations were enthralled. His passing away is a loss to our cultural world. Condolences to his family, friends and innumerable admirers. RIP.”
