Box Office Collection: DC universe’s The Batman scores good despite competition

Robert Pattinson starrer The Batman has just been released on 4th March 2022 worldwide. Well talking about the Indian box office, the highly awaited DC universe’s action hero film has great competition this time with Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi and Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund. Due to this tough competition, the film is growing very slowly by earning average numbers.

On the first day, The Batman opened up the market by collecting Rs 6-7 crore. However, as compared to Spiderman: No Way Home, the DC film has to gear up a bit to reach higher numbers.

Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan starrer Jhund has also been released on 4th March. Looking at the reviews, the film is highly impactful with a gripping storyline. But Nagraj Manjule’s superb creation has not been applauded at the box office as the film collects a low number on the first day. On day one itself, the film earned an average number of 1.25 cr nett.

Talking about the actor, earlier in a new interview with Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show, the Twilight star revealed that he was “terrified” when he watched the final edit of the film. During the conversation, Robert Pattinson revealed, “I was absolutely terrified. I haven’t been this scared to release a movie in such a long time.” Then the show host brought up the essential question of how Pattinson figured out the iconic Batman voice. The actor explained that he wanted to shift the tale and do something “radically different” from his predecessors. The Tenet actor disclosed his take on the voice and shared, “Everyone does this kind of gruff, gravelly thing, and I’m like, ‘I’m going to do the opposite — I’m gonna go really whispery.”
