Did Bhushan Kumar reveal the release date of Prabhas starrer Adipurush? READ
Prabhas, Kriti Sanon & Saif Ali Khan starring Adipurush is one of the highly awaited films in the industry. Well, recently in an interview, its producer Bhushan Kumar was asked about the film’s release date, to which the TSeries owner responded, “Right now, we have not decided on a release date for Adipurush. Once decided, we shall announce it. There are some other films already announced for Diwali weekend, so we need to see which date we can come on.”
Just a few days ago Adipurush’s director Om Raut talked about the film’s huge budget. Om said, “While it’s an expensive film by Indian standards, it’s not an expensive film given the global standards, because it does involve a lot of technology, which is quite a state of the art and used by a lot of films across the world.”
Raut also revealed that he got the inspiration to make a movie based on the Indian epic Ramayana when he saw Yugo Sako’s anime version of Ramayana, The Prince of Light, which he watched at the Mumbai Film Festival in the early 2000s. Om said, “I was mesmerized. This is the way this story has to be told, very condensed… precise, yet you feel for the characters, you are rooting for Prabhu [Lord] Ram — and at the same time the presentation was so modern and so fresh and very children friendly.” He added, “The teachings and everything were said very simply as opposed to making it a little heavy and mundane and boring and monotonous.”
He further said, “I said that if these foreigners can come and make our epic into such an interesting piece, what are we doing? We should do something like this and I need to tell the Ramayana in my own way.”
