83: In a special interview Kapil dev reveals how the Indian team celebrated the big win but slept empty stomach!

The Ranveer Singh starrer 83 is slated to enter theatres this week, and the first look photos have already gone viral on the internet. The film is about India’s Global Cup victory in 1983 and how the squad overcame adversity to become world champions. The then-captain Kapil Dev claimed at the end of the film that the Indian cricket team slept hungry after their huge victory.

For those who are unaware, the film’s trailer was released a few weeks ago, and the buzz surrounding it has been tremendous. The audience appears to be quite interested in hearing about the Indian cricket team, which won the tournament despite being considered the underdogs that year. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and will include a number of well-known actors, including Hardy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, and Ammy Virk.

A special screening for the film 83 was just held, and the early reviews appear to be as promising as promised. A special interview with Kapil Dev has been presented in the film’s last portion, in which he tells how the Indian team celebrated their momentous triumph. The ex-captain adds that the team spent the entire night partying and celebrating with multiple bottles of champagne, according to Bollywood Hungama.

Kapil Dev was also observed expressing concern about a bill payment that night, which he joked was still a mystery. That night, the team was visited by a number of entities, and they hardly had time to eat. When they eventually sat down to dine, they discovered that all restaurants and cafes were closed due to the late hour. At the end, Kapil Dev stated that they all went to bed hungry, but they slept well.
