But, there are also some television actors who have said ‘No’ to the shining world of Bollywood. They have their fan base due to their popularity on the television and they rejected some roles offered to them in Bollywood.
- Mrunal Thakur
Mrunal Thakur featured in television series like ‘Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan’, ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?’, etc. was offered a role to play second lead character in upcoming film ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ featuring Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan. However, Mrunal said ‘no’ for this role.
- Karan Tacker
Television heartthrob Karan Tacker refuted a role in Karan Johar’s ‘Student Of The Year 2’. This model-actor starred in soap operas like ‘Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai’. In 2014, he also participated in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’.
- Preetika Rao
Preetika Rao featured in the television serial ‘Beintehaa’ and she has a great fan base. This sister of Bollywood actress Amrita Rao does not intent to become a part of Bollywood.
- Shaheer Shaikh
Shaheer Shaikh earned name and fame on the television with the series ‘Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise’. The actor is very much attached to the small screen and wishes to continue working on this medium only rather than going to Bollywood.
- Krithika Nair
As of now, Krithika Nair does not intent to enter Bollywood. She essays the lead character in the television version of Baahubali. Once someone attempted to sign her for a Bollywood project and she was then freaked out.
- Aishwarya Sakhuja
Aishwarya Sakhuja is famous on social media and hence, expecting her to be a part of Bollywood is obvious. Sakhuja was rejected for a role in the film ‘Chak De India’ and then she made her mind to focus only on the small screen and not to go Bollywood way.

He is seen as romantic hero on the television and many expected him to go to Bollywood. However, Jay Soni has different plans in his mind and he desires to be a part of television only.

Mohit Raina was seen in the role of Lord Shiva in the series ‘Devon Ke Dev….Mahadev’. But, Bollywood is not his next step on his career graph and he prefers to be only a television actor.
- Surabhi Chandana
Surabhi Chandana featured in the serial ‘Qubool Hai’ on Zee TV. She was seen playing a role in Vidya Balan starrer ‘Bobby Jasoos’. Post this role, Surabhi made her decision to act only on the small screen as she enjoys the audience’s response for her series.
