Nishikant Kamat dies at 50

Bollywood stars bid him farewell

Actor and filmmaker Nishikant Kamat, who entertained us from his great acting and direction died on Monday of multiple organ failure. His death has created a huge void in Bollywood. He was suffering from Liver Cirrhosis for the last 2 years.

Nishant has proven his direction skills from the movies like Drishyam, Madaari and many more. His Marathi movie Lai Bhari went super hit. He started his movie career from the Marathi movie Dombivali Fast. Later on he created its Tamil version with R Madhavan in the lead role which was appreciated by everyone. Later on he acted in a Netflix Movie ‘Bhavesh Joshi Superhero’ playing the character of Rana. Speaking of his sickness, he was suffering from chronic liver and secondary infections. He was admitted to AIG Hospital in Hyderabad on 31st July. According to the hospital statement, initially when antibiotics were started his body showed improvements. But then after some time, his condition worsened with progressive liver dysfunction and drowsiness. After then, he was immediately shifted to ICU where his overall condition declined. Since Sunday, his body developed respiratory problem and hypotension was increased.

While bidding farewell to him, many superstars expressed their feeling on their social media platforms. Ashutosh Gowarikar, the Lagan director while condemning Nishikant’s demise tweeted “Gone too soon”. Superstar Ritesh Deshmukh also shared the grief of the family by writing “I will miss you. #NishikantKamat Rest in peace”. Many other stars including Randeep Hooda, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkumar Rao & many other extended their condolences to the Kamat Family. May God give his family and friends the courage to overcome the shock of his demise.
