Taapsee Pannu Discusses ‘Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba’ Coming to Netflix in 2024: ‘Filming Completed; Currently in Post-Production
Taapsee Pannu, a versatile Bollywood actress, recently shared the screen with Shah Rukh Khan in the Rajkumar Hirani-directed film Dunki, which achieved a box office collection of Rs. 203.27 crore. Following this success, she is set to appear in the sequel to Haseen Dillruba, titled Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, alongside Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill. The film has wrapped up shooting and is scheduled for release in 2024.
According to Bollywood Hungama, Taapsee Pannu expressed, “We are done shooting the film. The film is in the post-production stage. I think Netflix will soon announce when they will release it.”
Haseen Dillruba, released on Netflix in 2021, starred Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane. The sequel concluded filming in December 2023, and writer Kanika Dhillon shared photos from the wrap-up party, expressing gratitude to the team. The film is written and co-produced by Kanika Dhillon, directed by Jayprad Desai, and produced by Aanand L Rai and Himanshu Sharma, in association with Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of Colour Yellow Production.
The film is currently in its post-production stage, and Taapsee Pannu believes that Netflix will soon make an announcement regarding its release date. The prequel to the film, ‘Haseen Dillruba,’ was released in 2021 and featured Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane. The sequel recently wrapped up production in December 2023. To commemorate the occasion, writer and co-producer Kanika Dhillon shared photos from the wrap-up party, expressing her joy and gratitude. She wrote, “And it’s time to celebrate the wrap of this beautiful film with all these beautiful people! #phiraayihasseendillruba! As a writer and co-producer, my heart is full.
In addition to her role in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, Taapsee Pannu will also star in the comedy-drama film Woh Ladki Hai Kahan, written and directed by Arshad Syed. The movie features Pratik Gandhi and Prateik Babbar alongside Taapsee Pannu.
