Sudeepa Singh talks about her experience as an anchor in Arun Sheshkumar and Pankita Sadrani’s ‘Comedy superstars’

1. How was your experience anchoring in Comedy superstars?
Ans: I always consider Sab Tv as family now because I have done a lot of events with Sab Tv from the past year and ‘Baal veer’ have given me so much of love so it was like extension of my relationship with Sab Tv. Anchoring was a good and different experience because it was a comedy show and the credit goes to the production house, our director and judges who were so good which made this an memorable experience.

2.Have you been an anchor before or this was your first time?
Ans: Actually on screen this was my first time but otherwise I have been hosting a lot of shows and events. But on Television it is a bit different like you need instant replies so this was like a different thing and I have experienced it for the very first time.

3. Which shows have you done?
Ans: I have done ‘Baal veer’ for Sab Tv. I have not worked on Television serials much but I have done a lot of commercials. I have done more than 800 commercials. I have also done a Punjabi film for which I have even been awarded as best actress in ‘Ek Noor’ and since 2013- 2014 I am doing ‘Baal veer’.

4. How was Jay Soni as a co-anchor?
Ans: He is a very nice and cute person and the best thing about us was, there was no competition between us and we were working like a team. Also we gave each other respect which I think is a very important thing for a co-host to be given. He is a wonderful person. We were just laughing and joking around always and I think he is a wonderful and superb person.

5. Did you face any problems during anchoring?
Ans: Not at all. I faced no problems at all. As this was a comedy show there we had an instant reaction to all the jokes which was so much fun. I enjoyed a lot and I think all the credit goes to the Judges and specially our director Pankita, In the beginning itself she said me that we are like a family so we were not even feeling as if we were working. All we did was just laughing and enjoying a lot, even the contestants were like family.

6. Are you looking forward to host more shows?
Ans: Yes, Definitely. This was so much fun and I consider myself lucky for having Jay as my co-host. He is like a family to me. As I said in work we need respect and even the judges and directors had made us so comfortable and treated us like their children. Like this was my first on screen show and it was mind blowing for me. I had so much fun and I am a talkative person so definitely I would like to host more shows in future.

7. What was the best thing about all three judges Sushmita Sen, Sonu sood and Shekhar Suman tell about each any incidents.
Ans: The judges were superb. Being such famous personalities they were so humble and the best part about them was more than an Actor they are good Human being. I have never met such genuine people in my entire life. We have been such a big family, they have shared so many incidents with us, we learned a lot from them and the best thing I have learnt from Sushmita sen mam is that she has worked so hard and still she is so strong. She motivates me a lot.

8. How was it working with producers Pankita Sadrani and Arun Sheshkumar?
Ans: Very nice, The one word for them is ‘Positivity’. They both are so positive and the very first day we got along so well. They have always treated me like a family. They gave me so faith and are so much down to earth. Arun Sir is just superb. He is a nice gentleman. They were always treating us like family and were Rockstars. I feel they both are a blessing to me and I think this was the best production house I have worked with till now.

9. What kind of daily soaps you want to do?
Ans: I have never really thought about this. As I said I have done a lot of advertisements, then Punjabi films and have done the Hindi film ‘Action Replay’ also but I think life is very short and I want to do everything in my life. And in daily soaps I would like to do something which the audience will fall for and love the character that I am playing. But right now I am very happy with ‘Baal veer’. Children have loved me a lot.

10. Who is your favourite comedian on TV and why?
Ans: It is none other than Kapil Sharma. I think it is a Punjabi connection. I am not being biased but being a Punjabi I know we always have fun and joke around every now and then. So I like Kapil a lot as I think he is spontaneous and I find his comedy very real and relative as to the topic. Even in our show ‘Comedy superstars’ you will find such contents including dancing, acting, stand-up comedy where you will observe how ones personality develops with the journey.

11. Who is your favourite comedian in films and why?
Ans: Johnny Lever will always be my favourite. Also I love all the David Dhawan films, I find Govinda and Kader khan’s Jodi as the best Jodi and I like them the most.
