The Zoya Factor 1st Weekend Box office collection – a meager response

Zoya Factor review

For the Sonam Kapoor starer film The Zoya Factor, it was bad luck for the makers to earn pennies at the box office on its first weekend. Although the film had a decent buzz in the media with the star cast and other factors, however, it failed to impress the audience with the lucky charm factor allowing the makers to collect pennies at the box office. The film falls flat at the box office.

Despite the film critics and trade pundits predicted for a decent surge of the film at the box office claiming to earn not less than 30 crores, it only bagged some peanuts at the box office. The film surprisingly bagged only 70 lakhs on the first day and similar figures were seen on the first weekend as well. The collection on Saturday went on to come around 75 lakhs, while on Sunday it could only bag 1.5 Crores giving a shabby figure at the box office.

With these figures, the 1st-weekend box office collection for The Zoya Factor was around 3 Crores at the box office, which is really low for a film of Sonam Kapoor in her career. The factors that came as hurdles for the makers include the films like Chhichhore and Dream Girl giving a tough fight for it. The film is based on the book by Anuja Chauhan with the same title and it also had SRK doing a cameo in the film. The film deals with the life of Zoya Solanki played by Sonam Kapoor. She happens to be the lucky charm of the Indian Cricket Team. The film though had mixed reviews, yet it failed to impress the audience.
