Radhika Apte Misses Playing Anjali Mathur For Sacred Games 2

Actor Radhika Apte, who had been a prominent character in the first season of Sacred Games, has revealed that she misses being part of her first Netflix show Sacred Games where she received her golden opportunity to play a “starkly” different character.

Actor Radhika Apte is simply missing her prominent character role in the current season of the same web series. Radhika’s role in the previous season was quite acclaimed and turned out to be a favourite amongst the fans.

The critically-acclaimed series features Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Saif Ali Khan in the lead role and has returned for its sophomore season gaining a lot of universal praise.

Apte, however, isn’t featured in the second season into her character as the RAW agent Anjali Mathur. This has happened as her character was killed off by the end of the first season.

Talking to a major media platform, Apte said, “I do miss working on the show. I loved the character. I had a lot of fun doing this starkly different role of Anjali Mathur. I knew that the show would be liked by the audience, it was the first Hindi Netflix Original series and very different from the kind of content we saw before.”

Apte also mentioned that she has yet started watching the second season but will soon “binge watch it”.

The actor is going all high on heels as her 2018 thriller Andhadhun has bagged three National awards recently.

Apte said that the victory of her film is definitely a proof that the industry is on the right path of creating path-breaking movies.

Gratifying her regards, Radhika said, “It feels absolutely amazing. I feel blessed to be associated with the film. The amount of appreciation we have got from the audience and the critics is unimaginable. That is why the National Award win is gratifying.”

As per the talented actress the year 2018 was a memorable one for her as she got the opportunity to be a part of films like Padman, Andhadhun, Lust Stories and Baazaar.

Further opening up Apte said, “I can feel the love and appreciation. Life has definitely changed; I’m getting better scripts now. 2018 was a very memorable year for me. I did Padman, Andhadhun and Baazaar. It feels great to receive the gratitude and the success for your hard work, but I am also going to look ahead and not dwell on the past. I would rather look forward to the coming months and my upcoming releases.”

Apte is next to appear in her upcoming works in The Wedding Guest, a British-American movie with Dev Patel, and Raat Akeli Hai with Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
