Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom are expected to have an Independence Day release? Akshay Kumar clears the air in a statement

Since the Coronavirus pandemic, just like everything the film industry came to a halt. Many filmmakers are opting for the OTT release of their films as the future of cinema halls getting back to life seems a little questionable. Now, one of the actors who’s waiting for his film to release is Akshay Kumar. Not just the actor, but his fans have been eagerly waiting for his two upcoming big films, Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom.

For a few days, there have been a lot of speculations on social media that both of these Akshay Kumar starrer is sold to Amazon Prime Video. However, the actor today quashed all the rumours and released a statement.

Akshay’s statement read, “I’m humbled at the excitement and eagerness of my fans regarding the release of Sooryavanshi and Bell Bottom, and want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for all their love. However, at this point, it is purely speculative to say that both films will release on Independence Day. The producers of both films are working out the release dates and will make announcements at the right time,”

Sorryavanshi is a direction by Rohit Shetty and also stars Katrina Kaif opposite Akshay. Earlier the film was slated to release on April 30 but amid the rising cases, the makers postponed the film.

On the other hand, ‘Bell Bottom’, will be releasing in theaters on May 28, this year but with the current state of lockdown in the country, that seems highly unlikely. Apart from Akshay Kumar, Bell Bottom also stars Lara Dutta, Vaani Kapoor, and Huna Qureshi.
