Ayushmann Khurrana cut off his fee to Rs 15 CR! Is it because of his films failure at the BO?

Ayushmann Khurrana was on cloud nine in the pre-pandamic period after his films performing well at the box office. The epidemic, on the other hand, shifted the tide for nearly every performer. While the popularity of his flicks caused Ayushmann Khurrana’s fees to rise to Rs. 25 crores, according to the reports his fees have fallen back to pre-pandemic levels. According to an industry insider, course correction is taking place throughout the business as we speak.

Ayushmann’s acting fees have come down from a sum of Rs. 25 crores to Rs. 15 crores following the below-par performance of Anek and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui. The producers of his upcoming films have requested the actor to support them in tough times and he willingly agreed for the larger good of the films. His new market rate is Rs. 15 crores,” a source close to the actor to was quoted by Bollywood Hungama.

Ayushmann is being inundated with proposals from several producers, but he is waiting to see how Doctor G does at the box office before deciding on his next project. “He is occupied with Dream Girl 2 till year-end and will decide on his next project once the two films release. In fact, Ayushmann is very hopeful that the forthcoming releases will get him back in the race,” the source further added.
Ayushmann isn’t the first actor to cut off his pay. Akshay Kumar, who used to demand Rs. 144 crores for a film, has reduced his cost to Rs. 72 crores. John Abraham, Shahid Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao have also cut their rates in half. The industry is in the process of rebuilding.
