His first blockbuster was the film – Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak opposite Juhi Chawla in the late eighties which is still remembered for his performance. The movie gave him the first National Award. His next film was Awwal Number by Dev Anand in 1990. Since then it has no looking back for the actor.
