Hima Das would need not need much introduction as the name says it all. She is the golden girl of India who has made our country proud in different sporting events. The lady has created history last July in 2018 when she bagged her first gold medal in Finland’s Under-20 IAAF world athletics tournament. She got gold for the 400 meters race at the said event called World Junior championships. Ever since then the filmmakers got interested in making a film on her.
Akshay Kumar was the first one to respond to her and wanted to make a film on her. He along with his producer friends approached her and even got the consent. While he was busy promoting the film Mission Mangal we heard him talking about the Hima Das biopic where he said he cannot wait to start the biopic film on Hima Das. However, as per the recent news, he and his producers on board have to wait for more to start preparing for the film.
The golden girl is busy preparing for her next big event in the Tokyo Olympics the biggest gala time event for the sports community all across the world. Hence she is unable to give enough time to the research team of the makers making the delay in the film. However, Hima Das seems to be busy preparing for her next gold in Olympics. The lady who got five golds last year seems to be unstoppable. Although she intends to see her story of struggle and achievements to be told to the world with a biopic film but considering her busy schedule, it seems that the film has gone on hold for another one year for sure.
