Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam-starrer social comedy film ‘Dasvi’ to get a sequel?

‘Dasvi,’ a social comedy film starring Abhishek Bachchan and Yami Gautam that was released directly on Netflix, earned a lot of praise for its storyline as well as the performances of Abhishek, Yami, and Nimrat Kaur.
According to recent media reports, the film’s producers are preparing a sequel.

According to recent rumours from within sources, a sequel to Dasvi titled “Barwi” will be directed by Tushar Jalota. The director has already began working on the script, with a few ideas for the sequel that have been heard by producer Dinesh Vijan, who has also given his OK for a sequel.

A source close to the film told Pinkvilla, “The makers feel that Dasvi deserves a sequel and want to take the story forward. Tushar has already begun working on the script and has an interesting idea for part 2, which Dinesh has liked as well. If all goes as planned – the film will go on the floors this year”.

In ‘Dasvi’, Abhishek played the role of Om Prakash Chautala, the former Haryana Chief Minister who was accused of involvement in a scandal and sentenced to years in Tihar jail.  However, he soon discovers the value of education because of IPS Jyoti Deswal (Yami Gautam) and decides to earn his 10th-grade diploma.
