Sooryavanshi Trailer Review: A Decent Cop Drama from Akshay Kumar

Sooryavanshi 1
As the trailer of the film Sooryavanshi hit the media, it turned an instant hit amongst the fans of Akshay Kumar who plays the leading man in the action thriller. The film also has Katrina Kaif in the leading role apart from having Ajay Devgn, and Ranveer Singh to support them. The trailer seemed to be a bit lengthier than the usual ones with 4 minutes and 13 seconds and starts with Ajay Devgn starting the narration about Mumbai’s plight. And soon comes Akki in his fierce cop avatar look.
As he goes on the mission mode to get rid of the camouflaged sleeper cells from the City and even from the country, we see him in the avatar well built by Rohit Shetty who has come with him for his maiden film in B Town. Thus it was obvious to see the flying cars around and he also took a helicopter ride getting down on its stand. On the face of it, the trailer seems promising with a good script and story somewhere acting like a thriller in disguise of a commercial potboiler. This will certainly be going to work in the single screens as the audience would love to see the B Town Khiladi in this avatar.
However, for the multiplex crowd, it may be not more than a one time watch for sure. Akshay Kumar returning in his action mode after his films like Mission Mangal and Good Newwz, where there were no actions makes the film the awaited ones in the B Town. With a decent star cast as seen in the trailer having Jaaved Jaaferi his Senior Cop and few of the actors like Gulshan Grover, Abhimanyu Singh, Niharica Raizada, Jackie Shroff, Sikandar Kher and Nikitin Dheer playing baddies in it would help the film to score. Overall, the ratings could be 3.0 for the multiplex crowd and 3.5 for the single screens.
