The Family Man 2: Here is why netizens are trending #FamilyMan2_against_Tamils
The much-awaited second season of The Family Man is soon going to stream on Amazon Prime Videos. The makers have recently dropped the trailer of the show and revealed the release date. The trailer got mixed reactions from the audience.
However, some sections of the audience are unhappy with Raj and DK’s The Family Man. They have started slamming the show and the cast by trending #FamilyMan2_against_Tamils on Twitter.
Starring Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharad Kelkar, Neeraj Madhav, Sharib Hashmi, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Samantha Akkineni and others, the trailer of the show sees Samantha wearing an LTTE uniform while her dialogues and the direction show them in a not so good light.
This has hearted the sentiments of Tamilians and many others.
Slamming The Family Man 2, one Twitter user wrote, “Twitter is trending #FamilyMan2_against_Tamils because of perceived misrepresentation of Tamils. There is a regular misrepresentation of indigenous communities of NE by intellectuals, media and activists. But no trends anywhere. That’s the difference.”
While another wrote, “Iam going to unsubscribe your subscription.”
Earlier while talking about the show Creators Raj and DK said, “As creators, we have been waiting for a pretty long time to share the trailer of the much-awaited new season of The Family Man today. We promised the season will be out by end of this summer, and we are glad that we just about kept that promise :). The wait will finally be over on 4 June as Srikant Tiwari will return with a thrilling storyline, and ‘danger really has a new face’ — Samantha Akkineni, who has done a tremendous job, along with the always-fantastic ensemble cast. We are confident we have carved out an exciting season for you all, despite having to work through the pandemic. Hopefully, the new season will be worth the wait.
