Plot

The film is made at the backdrop of a small place called Thakurganj, which talks about a story of two brothers Nunnu played by Jimmy Sheirgill and Munnu played by Nandish Singh. Both remain different in ideologies in their life, so will they part ways or remain together despite their difference while fighting against injustice is a big question to answer? You can find the answer only to your nearby cinema.

Review

The film stars with an average story and content, however, the bigger issue is the plot that seems to be drafted on a weak note. Once again, you get a feeling that such films with similar contents have been surfacing too often in the media and were treated similarly as this film will get its treatment. So, with no innovation in the film, both the first and second half of the film seems dull and feeble. Even the dialogues and punch lines seemed repetitive in nature and have the least impact on the audience. Only one aspect of this film that seemed impressive was the star cast of the film that gave some of the best performances.

Jimmy Sheirgill in the role of Nannu was awesome and he has impressed with his dialogue delivery and performance. His chemistry with Mahie Gill in the film seemed incredible as they have been working together in their Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster franchise. The role of Sharbati by Mahie Gill was really impressive as she played Jimmy’s dominating wife. While Saurabh Shukla was as always the same while playing the role of a goon and Supriya playing the character of mother too has pulled off with her fine performances.

Talking about the other aspects of the film like direction, photography, music, editing, screenplay, and technical things seemed okay and did not help much to add the entertainment value of the film. Thus it remained an average film at the end of the day for the audience. With dialogues given to everyone trying their punch lines too often, it seems that the film has become the best example of overkill.

Family of Thakurganj – The Last Word

The film is a classic example of too many chefs spoils the soup. Despite some good performances, the actors were unable to lift the film the way it was expected. In terms of story, you have nothing but the same old plot revived and placed in a different tray. But this time it did not work well for the audience thus getting a low rating.
