Doctor Sudhir Gupta, Chairman of AIIMS’ Forensic Medical Board reportedly revealed that they are in agreement with CBI in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.
According to a report in a news portal, Sudhir Gupta noted that there is still the need to look into certain legal aspects for the authorities to reach a logical legal conclusion. The AIIMS team recently shared ‘conclusive findings’ in a report that they submitted to the CBI. In a statement, the CBI stated that it would analyse the entire report along with the evidence presented to derive if it is a suicide case or not.

Earlier in the day, the CBI released a statement assuring that it is conducting a professional investigation and that all aspects are being looked at and no aspect has been ruled out as of date. After receiving the AIIMS report, the CBI will take a final call after going through their collected evidence so far including forensic reports on the recreation of the crime scene, statements of witnesses and profiling of accused and suspects.

During his interaction with the media, Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh said that an AIIMS doctor told him that Sushant’s death was by “strangulation” and not by “suicide”. However, Dr Sudhir Gupta dismissed making all such claims. Singh had said, “It is for them to take a call and bring it to the public domain. It is only when it is in the public domain that the family will be in a position to take some legal repose. Right now, we are helpless. We don’t know which direction this case is going.”
