Late Model & Actress – Jiah Khan based Documentary Series to be made
It was in 2013 when we saw Jiah Khan committing suicide making many to remain in shock. Since then we saw her mother Rabia Khan fighting for justice for her former daughter against her then-boyfriend – Sooraj Pancholi. As the case went on over the court, we hear that the former model and actress will now have a documentary series in the media. Currently, the team is carrying out the required research in Juhu. It was on 3rd June 2013 when her body was recovered from her flat in Juhu.
Later Sooraj Pancholi was arrested on 10th of June, however, he was granted bail the very next month. In October the same year, Rabia Khan the former model’s mother had requested for a CBI probe, which was granted for the case. The CBI, therefore, took the case in its hand in July 2014. She then requested the court to get a Special Investigative Team to investigate the case but was later denied.
Its been six years now to see the lady losing her death and CBI has closed the case calling it to be a suicide case.
A case of suicide abetment was concluded by the court under the section of 306 of IPC but nothing much was seen in this direction. The court later found Sooraj to be not guilty in this high profile case. So, considering the ups and downs in the case, the filmmakers find too much of fodder to make a documentary on this.
