The story seems different yet boring as on the face of it we see drama and comedy coming together and interwoven mechanically. The confusion element backed with drama along with comedy did not work this time for the makers as they embarked upon with the fourth series in this franchise. The film appears interesting in the trailer but when once catches up in the screens, it becomes unbearable for many reasons. First and foremost the story seems stale and has been used in different B Town films earlier in different ways. Hence there is no newness in it.

Secondly, too much comedy elements have hampered the entertainment value in a big way. Imagine everyone in the star cast decides to do comedy then where would the film head? Perhaps, the makers have failed in this aspect making the puns and dialogues repetitive that gives less option to smile and more to pull your hair as to why you have come to watch the film. The untimely songs also hamper the film in a big way. Now, talking about the performances, all seemed okay, but Akki trying comedy after a few years seemed overdoing it that somewhere has hampered him in a big way.

The perfect man was Riteish Deshmukh, he has maintained his skills of entertaining people with his incredible sense of humor and timing. He seemed natural, while others only were trying to follow him but failed in a big way. The divas – Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde were just kept to keep the glam element high, rest they were average on the silver screen. The other elements like direction, screenplay, editing, photography and other elements remained average and did not help the film to gain enough entertainment value.

Housefull 4 – The Last word

As said, too many cooks spoil the broth, similar is the case of Housefull 4. The so-called high star value ensemble star cast has somewhere ruined the film in a big way. None of them were able to do justice to their assigned roles except one or two. The film is likely to have similar treatment as the last year film Thugs of Hindostan has got – initial hype will help the film to earn and later it will fall flat on the ground.
