Akshay Kumar meets UP CMYogi Adityanath while promoting his film in a cleanliness drive

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar are now in the UP capital Lucknow as they promote their upcoming movie Toilet Ek Prem Katha, which is all set to hit theatres on August 11, 2017. As per reports, the film promotes the idea of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cleanliness drive called Swacch Bharat Abhiyan. While in Lucknow, he got the chance to the meet the much talked CM of UP Mr. Yogi Adityanath, who was there to be part of UP Govt’s cleanliness drive in the capital city of the state. He went on to the microblogging site called Twitter to announce his meeting with the CM when he said: “Honored to be part of Hon. Chief Minister of U.P. @myogiadityanath cleanliness drive in Lucknow today.”

He is doing this movie with Bhumi Pednekar for the first time and the duo were also seen releasing another song from their film and the curiosity of the movie seems to be up considering the cool trailer released in the recent past. Akki was also seen answering the question of media people when he asked about the film’s name. He replied calling it to be a taboo issue in India. He said many people felt that his dialogue a dialogue in the film which is, ‘Ab biwi ghar aaye na aye, sundaas to laakar hi chhodunga is gaon mein’, people were rethinking that if he should say it or not.

He then said that his film has a subtle message, which needs to be udnerstood far and wide. He said that the very idea of using toilets in a home where we cook is old and outdated as there is no point in using the open space for defecating. During his visit to the state capital he also talked to the CM and discussed the idea while he was participating in a cleanliness drive.
