On Friday the Supreme Court stayed the FIR registered in five states against actor Munmun Dutta. The Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, a famed actor was accused of allegedly using a casteist slur in a video posted on Twitter last month.

“What you said may amount to bringing the entire community into disrepute. You say you are a woman but tell us if women have any better rights than men or they also have equal rights?” the bench of justices Hemant Gupta and V Ramasubramanian asked reported Hindustan Times.

Dutta’s lawyer, Puneet Bali, confirmed that the actor made the mistake and even deleted the Tweet within two hours of posting it. Bali pleaded that all cases against her be shifted to Mumbai.
