Final Shoot for Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’ Wraps Up Next Week, Last Schedule in Delhi

Ajay Devgn is having a remarkable year in 2024. He kicked off the year with a bang, thanks to the tremendous success of “Shaitaan.” He then followed it up with the universally acclaimed film, “Maidaan.” Currently, Devgn is all set to wrap up the shooting for one of his highly anticipated movies, “Raid 2.” Bollywood Hungama has exclusively learned that the filming will be completed by the end of April, which is next week.

According to a source, “The makers of ‘Raid 2,’ starring Ajay Devgn, will conclude the filming by the end of April. The film is currently in its final shooting schedule in Lucknow, followed by a two-day shoot in Delhi, where the team will wrap up.”

Interestingly, “Raid 2” went on floors early this year, precisely on January 6, 2024. The source further revealed, “The makers had meticulously planned the shoot, and everything went according to plan. In less than four months, the shooting will be completed.” Apart from Delhi and Lucknow, “Raid 2” was also shot in Mumbai and Rajasthan.

“Raid 2” serves as the sequel to the successful 2018 film, “Raid.” In the original film, Ajay Devgn portrayed the honest IRS Officer Amay Patnaik, who takes on a corrupt politician. In “Raid 2,” Devgn reprises his role as Amay Patnaik, as he embarks on a quest to target a new adversary. While Ileana DCruz played the female lead and Saurabh Shukla portrayed the antagonist in “Raid,” “Raid 2” stars Vaani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in the respective roles. Rajat Kapoor also plays a pivotal character in this sequel.

Both “Raid” and “Raid 2” are helmed by director Raj Kumar Gupta. The film is slated to release in cinemas on November 15 this year. Prior to the release of “Raid 2,” Ajay Devgn has two more films lined up. Neeraj Pandey’s “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha,” co-starring Tabu, is expected to hit the screens in June or July. On the other hand, “Singham Again” is reportedly scheduled for a Diwali release.

“Raid 2” is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Krishan Kumar. The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series and is a production of Panorama Studios.
