K-Pop star Moon Bin passes away at the age of 25

K-Pop star and member of the boy band Astro, Moon Bin, passed away on 19 April. He was only 25 years old. The artist was found dead in his Seoul apartment by his manager.

Astro’s music label, Fantagio Music, confirmed the artist’s death on its official Twitter account on Thursday. The group’s label said in a statement posted in Korean. “First and foremost, we apologise for informing you of such awful and heartbreaking news. Moonbin, an ASTRO member, abruptly departed us on April 19 and became a star in the sky. Although nothing cannot compare to the bereaved family’s anguish at the loss of their beloved son and sibling, ASTRO members, as well as our colleagues Fantagio artists and executives, are genuinely mourning the deceased in great sadness and shock.”

The music label also asked fans to refrain from spreading incorrect or hurtful information regarding the K-Pop artist’s death, as his family would want a private farewell.

“It is even more heartbreaking to inform you of the unexpected news to the fans who supported Moon Bin and lavished him with love.” It’s even more devastating because I knew the deceased’s heart, which always loved and thought of the fans more than anybody else. I respectfully request that you refrain from making speculative and nasty reports so that grieving families, who are extremely grieved by the unexpected tragic news, can reverently memorialize and grieve the deceased.”

His manager discovered him unconscious at his flat in Seoul’s upmarket Gangnam suburb on Wednesday night, according to South Korean media.

Moon Bin was a K-Pop performer and actor who made his debut in 2016 as a member of the music group ASTRO. Moon Bin was last seen in Astro’s last studio album, ‘Drive to the Starry Road,’ which was published in May 2022.

Moon Bin is also recognized for his performance as the lead in the k-drama ‘The Mermaid Prince (2020). He has also appeared as a guest star in a number of other Korean dramas.
