kangana-ranaut-to-play-jayalalitha-in-biopic-main

With the lockdown relaxed amid the COVID 19 outbreak, Kangana Ranaut is seen gearing up for her next film Thalaivi, a biopic on the late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. With a deep impact of the lockdown, we see the B Town getting affected the most. Thus it is obvious to see the debate whether or not the film should bypass the traditional theatrical release and head to get the OTT release. Talking about the same, the actress was seen saying that the  film ‘Thalaivi’ just can’t be released on the OTT platform.

Talking to the Bollywood portal – Pinkvilla, she said that the film Thalaivi is a massive scale movie and it cannot be released on a digital space just like ‘Manikarnika’ which got the big screen release. Talking about her other films like Panga and  ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’ she said these can get the OTT release as these are made very digital-friendly. The big scale films on the other side need to recover huge costs hence releasing on the same would depend upon the makers.

Talking about the biopic, she said this film will be a bilingual film and has been made at a whopping cost, while  both the OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon can fetch the makers around Rs 55 crore. Talking about the actress, she has been active in COVID 19 for donating to the various places for the relief work. The movie is all set to hit in Hindi apart from Tamil, and Telugu. It has been postponed due to the lockdown, while the film is directed by Vijay and produced by Vishnu Induri and Shaailesh R Singh.
