Kunal Deshmukh and Ribhu Dasgupta roped in to helm Netflix’s upcoming show Baahubali

There were reports earlier that OTT streaming giant Netflix apparently didn’t like the initial part of the show Bahubali which was being shot so the makers have been advised to reshoot it on a bigger budget. In fact, reports suggest that Netflix had allocated a whopping amount of Rs. 200 cr to make this show.

Now we hear that the makers of the show have brought two directors onboard for the venture. As per sources, Kunal Deshmukh and Ribhu Dasgupta have been roped in to direct the venture.

A trade source informed Bollywood Hungama, “Praveen Sattaru and Deva Katta were initially directing the Baahubali – Before The Beginning show for Netflix. Though 30% was already shot, the streaming giant was not too happy with the result, and ordered a re-shoot. However, this time Netflix amped up the budget of the venture to Rs. 200 cr and to ensure that it was done in a fashion that they saw fit, new directors have been brought on board to take the project forward”,

Further talking about the new directors, the source continues, “Keeping Netflix’s vision for the show in mind, Bollywood directors Kunal Deshmukh and Ribhu Dasgupta have been roped in to helm the venture.”

In Fact both of them are looking forward to take this project on floors later this year. The pre-production of the film Baahubali – Before the Beginning has already started.
