Escaype Live: Jaaved Jaaferi, Siddharth, Shweta Tripathi to present the stories of striving social media influencers; Trailer OUT
Recently, Disney Plus Hotstar released the trailer of their upcoming series Escaype Live. Directed by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, the series cast a lot of actors including Jaaved Jaaferi, Siddharth, Shweta Tripathi, Sumedh Mudgalkar, Plabita Manu, Aadyaa Sharma, Swastika Mukherjee, Geetika Vaidya, Ritwik Sahore, Waluscha De Souza and more. The extreme drama will be streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from 20th May onwards.
Meanwhile, the trailer is about a social media entertainment app, where different wanna be influencers can be seen portraying their story and lifestyle. Jaaved Jaaferi can be seen in the very intriguing character of the CEO of the app, on the other hand, Rang De Basanti starrer Siddharth will be also seen playing an important character in the series.
The trailer was presented by Disney Plus Hotstar on their social media handle with the caption, “6 lives. 3 crores. 1 contest. Endless consequences. How far will you go for your dreams?”

Talking about the series, director Siddharth Kumar Tewary said,  “I wanted to tell a story of the world we live in today, where social media is not just a habit but has become a form of emotional expression. Life has moved beyond being liked and disliked or being followed and unfollowed. Whether social media as an entity is good or bad is subjective depending on whose story we are telling and what they actually want out of their lives – are their dreams real? Or are they merely trying to escaype their reality! At its core, Escaype Live gives us an insight into the minds of people living in the world of social media.”
