Ishaan Khatter OPTED OUT of Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming web series on Midnight’s Children. Why?

ishaan khatterShahid Kapoor’s kid brother, Ishaan Kahtter has proved himself to be quite a choose and pick type for taking up his roles. Reports have been suggesting that the Dhadak co-star Janhvi Kapoor has already signed around three films after Dhadak, however, Ishaan is yet to make up his mind for choosing even one assignment since then.

It is quite obvious that by no means he is at the lacking side of assignments due to non- availability of work but, it is quite revealed that he has been offered several films by many of the leading filmmakers including Mira Nair, Sanjay Bhansali, Sajid Nadiadwala and Karan Johar.

But, finally he came up to picking an assignment that was the web series based on Salman Rushdie’s mammoth literary epic Midnight’s Children. Apparently, Ishaan was about to sign on the dotted line but, doubts came up as there came up enough light on the subject mentioning that there was already a big film based on the same novel.

As per a source revelation on a major media platform, it was said, “Deepa Mehta has already made an elaborate film based on her dear friend Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children. While looking seriously at doing this second version of the same source material within three years, Ishaan had only one question. How different was Vishal Bhardwaj’s Midnight’s Children going to be when compared with Deepa Mehta’s version? The answer unfortunately was, not too different. That’s when Ishaan opted out.”
