Khushi Kapoor Shares Insight on The Archies: “I Find a Lot of Myself in the Character Betty

Khushi Kapoor is all set to debut an acting role in web film called “The Archies,” helmed by Zoya Akhtar alongside with the fellow newcomers, It was mentioned at a recent event in Delhi, which has co-stars, which seemed to have similarities with their respective roles from the film. In the film, which is adapted from the renowned Archie Comics, Khushi portrays the character of Betty.

As per NDTV report, Khushi Kapoor expressed, “I believe we were chosen for our roles because there’s a substantial resemblance between us and our characters. I see a lot of myself in Betty, and the more I portrayed her, the more I realized this. She is sweet and understanding, but also sensitive and caring. Sometimes, she tends to prioritize others’ needs over hers… So, I could relate to certain aspects of her the more I portrayed her.”

The aspiring actress shared that the advice she received from many people on set turned out to be very beneficial. “It might sound cliché, but the best advice I received was to simply enjoy the experience. Many people on set told me this at some point because I tend to overthink… I get nervous at times, but being reminded to relax and have fun made a difference.”

Unsurprisingly, Zoya, the captain of the ship, offered her guidance as well. “Zoya, in particular, had approached me multiple times and said, ‘You were meant to be Betty, just have fun and be yourself,’ and I think that made me feel more at ease. Honestly, having that support made it easier for me. I’m not sure if they gave me any specific tips, but having them to guide me through things and be there for me was immensely helpful.”

In addition to Khushi Kapoor, “The Archies” features Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda, and Aditi Dot. The movie is set to stream on Netflix starting December 7.
