Narendra Jha is a TV and movie actor who hails from Madhubani in Bihar, he was born and brought up in the same place doing his schooling from the very same area. He then went to Delhi to do his graduation in the late eighties and ended up doing his masters in History from JNU in 1991. He then headed to SRCC to do his acting diploma course since he was very much keen in acting and has been the part and parcel of different plays and drama groups. Hence when he completed his course in acting, he simply headed to Mumbai to pursue his dreams to act before the camera. With a bit of struggle, he ended up getting a TV serial Shanti – EkGhar Ki Kahani.

He then did a couple of TV shows, which include Itihaas, Thief of Baghdad and Captain House in his initial days. His other TV shows include Amrapali, Raavan, Samvidhaan, Begusarai, ChoonaHaiAasmaan, Chehra and EkGharBanaunga. His recent shows include SuperCopsvsSupervillains and Hanuman. His journey in Bollywood started with the movie called Legend in 2014 followed by Haider playing the character of ShahidKapoor, which gave him a good recognition in the acting world. Some of his other movies include HamariAdhuriKahaani, Ghayal Once Again, Shorgul and Force 2.

Some of his upcoming movies include Raees with Shah Rukh Khan, Kaabil with HrithikRoshan, comedy film 2016 The End. He worked with ShayamBenegal as well and his association with him has given a couple of good movies, which include the film Samvidhaan wherein he played the character of Mohammed Ali Jinnah. As far as his personal life is concerned, he is married to his co-actor friend Pankaja Thakur who hails from Nasik and they had their traditional marriage at the said place only.
