Samantha Ruth Prabhu joins Varun Dhawan for 2-week shooting schedule of Citadel

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently making news for her upcoming film, Shakuntalam. Her look and performance have been appreciated since the trailer for the film surfaced. As we all know, there were reports of the actress moving out of the Indian version of Citadel, helmed by the Russo Brothers. Now, the latest reports suggest that the actress has finally teamed up with Varun Dhawan to work on this project.

The South beauty had earlier informed her fans that she is suffering from myositis and is undergoing treatment for the same. It took a little longer for her to recover than she actually thought. So she had to take a short break for her recovery. Although no official announcement has been made yet, Samantha Ruth Prabhu will be seen in Citadel India alongside Varun Dhawan.

A report from Pinkvilla states that Samantha has teamed up with Varun for a two-week shooting schedule for this film in Mumbai. Varun Dhawan recently filmed some action-packed sequences for four days without her. He also showed his bruised face on his Instagram story.

During the promotion of her last film ‘Yashoda,’ Samantha Ruth Prabhu told us how it was tiring and exhausting for her. However, she took up the challenge, and this time she is going to fight. Let us tell you, Yashoda was a major hit, and the actress was praised from all parts of the country for her performance.

Coming back to Citadel India, Sam and Varun are going to be seen in the lead roles. The American version, on the other hand, will have Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden as the main characters. As soon as the actress finishes her Citadel shoot, she will be rushing to shoot for “Kushi,” opposite Vijay Deverakonda.
